I held my June Card Workshop & Buffet this week.  Everyone had a fun time making the three cards (below).   On the first card we used the Stitched Flowers Thin Cuts.  (Those were sold out but returned and are in stock now.)  I really like those Stitched Flower Thin Cuts and look forward to making more cards and paper crafts with them. 

  

The cake card (below) is made using the June Stamp of the Month.  What a fun stamp for a birthday, anniversary, wedding, or other special occasion.  I made an anniversary card, but class attendees could choose what sentiment that they wanted.  The coloring is done with Shimmer Brushes:  Clear, Sugarplum, and Mint and with the gray watercolor pencil.

The third card is made using (D1864) Where Happiness Blooms.  The sentiment is made from (C1784) Hostess Stamp Hippo-partymus.  There are great sentiments on Where Happiness Blooms, but I wanted a birthday card.  I try to have one birthday stamp each month.

Cards Made in May

     This past month I was busy making cards for my groups to make.  Everyone enjoyed making these cards.  This was the first month of the NEW Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog.  There are so many pretty papers and fun stamps to use.

These two cards use the stamp set "One Year Older."  The top card is a shaker card made with the Shaker Thin Cuts and Gold Loose Sequins.  The bottom card is made in the same way, however, it is flat with no shaker items involved.  Both make a nice birthday card.  The top card is made using Craft On paper.  The Sapphire and Apple Red card has some Zoe paper behind the gift packages.  Zoe is a special this month.  It is from the Bring Back My Pack special and ends on Friday at 10:59 pm (PDT).

The above "Your Turning 21" card was made for my niece when she turned 21 this month.  This is another example of how to use the One Year Older stamp set.  It includes all of the numbers to use for any age.  The paper, again, is from the Craft On Paper Packet.  This light blue cardstock is Carolina, one of the new colors for 2018-2019.

 The card on the left is from the Thinking of You Workshop Your Way Card Kit.  I followed the card directions except I changed the Sugarplum cardstock to Sugarplum Glitter Paper.  I also used the Sugarplum Shimmer Brush to color the little berries on the wreath.  This is a great set to purchase.  You get a stamp set, 2 sheets of paper, cardstock, and 12 cards and envelopes.  This is a great way to start if you are new to card making.  The paper is from the True Love Paper Packet.

This card is also made using the True Love Paper Packet.  I designed the card using one of Close To My Heart's pattern books -- Make It From Your Heart, Vol. 4, Pattern 13.  I turned the banner sideways so that more of the Lace Thin Cut would show.

The stamped images are from the May Stamp of the Month (SOTM).  It's a great one!  There is only one more day to get the SOTM titled "To My Bestie."  This is a great one to use when sending a card to a friend.  It has some great sentiments such as "Happy birthday", "Celebrate",  "Best Friends", "I could not ask for a better friend", as well as other sentiments.  Go to my website at www.dianebradner.ctmh.com to order your stamp set for $18.95 or only $5 with an order of $50 or more.

A New Close To My Heart Catalog

      I'm finally back to posting on this little Blog.  I hope to be more regular in posting what I've created and What's going on with Close To My Heart.

      September brought a new Close To My Heart catalog.  This is the Holiday Expressions.  It runs from September through December.  It is full of papers, stamps, and embellishments for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Fall, and Christmas plus all occasions such as birthdays, thank you, etc.  There is one very pretty paper that is generic and not featured for a holiday and a set of Mix-Ins that goes with any of the papers.

     I'm enjoying all of the beautiful papers and stamps and I know you will, too.  Below I will show you some of the cards that I've made with the new papers.  This card uses the Hello Pumpkin papers and Cardmaking Stamp Set.  

This was a favorite card to make.  I like the boldness of the black and white paper and the Nectarine Gingham check paper from the Hello Pumpkin paper pack.  I couldn't decide which pumpkins to use, so I made a few of them.  What a fun stamp set to use!

This card uses the September Stamp of the Month (SOTM).  The bright colors make this a fun paper to use.  This shows you two of the papers in this Christmas paper and can be used for all kinds of occasions.  You can always change the sentiment on this card.

This is another Little Pumpkin paper with Lagoon Cardstock.  This is a curtain fold card.  These are so fun to make!

Flower Market flower.

Some Kinda Wonderful

         This is the last month of the products in the Close To My Heart Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book.  There have been wonderful products in this Idea Book, but a new Seasonal Expression 2 is on it's way!  Get the products you want before they are gone.  There is already a number of items that have sold out.

        I made a card this weekend using the Some Kinda Wonderful paper packet.  It took awhile to figure out how to use this fun paper.  I used 4 of the paper patterns and stamped 2 of the kids from School Kids and True Love--Operation Smile set.  I do like the result.  The paper combination on the card was inspired by one I saw from Tina Lovell.  The Operation Smile set is available through July 31.  When you purchase this set, $7 is donated to Operation Smile to help with surgeries for children around the world to repair cleft palate and other similar surgeries.  You can also donate money with any purchase you make.  Just round up your order.

The True Love--Operation Smile set also has one more girl, a boy with balloons, a heart, and other smaller stamps.

National Scrapbooking Month -- Happy Times

     Wow!  It's been a long time since I've posted here!  I guess I've spent more time posting on my Facebook group lately.  I think it's because I only have one follower on here.  I'm not sure if anyone reads this.  I'll give it a try again and hope someone will read this.

     This month is National Scrapbooking Month and Close To My Heart has been celebrating with a special paper packet titled Happy Times.  This is a beautiful paper packet.  It includes florals, paper that looks like a fence, as well as, three papers with gold foil.

Below is a couple of cards my group made during the month of May.  These were a lot of fun to make and will be nice cards to send to someone.

The Glacier frame is made using the Cricut Artistry cartridge.  The flowers and leaves were stamped and hand-cut.
