Easter Cards

     The March Close To My Heart Card Gathering will take place tomorrow--March 19th.  We will be focusing on Easter cards this month.  I've been working on creating cards using stamps from the Seasonal Expressions I, which has items that will no longer be available after March 31st.  Anything with a clock icon next to the title of the item will be gone after March 31st.

     The first card uses the Hopping By stamp set (D1633).  This stamp set is cute and a lot of fun with an easter egg, bunny, chick, and a lamb.  The background uses three patterns from the Whimsy Paper Fundamentals.  The chick in the car is colored with some of the ShinHan markers.  This was a fun card to make.  This card was not my original idea.  I saw this card originally made by another consultant, Jessica Ballas.

     The second card uses the stamp set titled His Love (B1469).  This card is made using the Brushed Paper Packet.  The butterfly is made with the stamp set that is included with the Brushed WOTG.  The butterfly and the frame around the words are Cricut cuts.  I made the butterfly smaller than the size of the stamp so that it is in proportion with the lily.  The lily has a little coloring with the ShinHan markers.  I really like the colors on this card.  It's very springy!  I also love the message this card communicates.  Inside I stamped the words, "May His love fill your heart" and the Bible passage from John 3:16.  I look forward to sending this card to some people I care about.  This stamp set is only $9.95!

     I may have a simple card in the works in case we have time.  If we don't, then I will have more cards to make and send.
