Skylark Card in a Box

I recently made a card in a box.  These cards are all the rage right now.  They are fun to make and create a spectacular presentation.  First, I made a small one at a Close to My Heart Gathering.  Then, I saw some on Pinterest that were a larger size.  These are a lot of fun, but they do take some time to make.  I actually made two that are very similar.  Here are pictures of the first card:

I used the Skylark paper pack to make this card for my sister-in-law.  I also used the Cricut Artiste cartridge and Close to My Heart stamps.  I made a sample to keep for a birthday of any age (see below).

When the card is flat, it is ready to put in the envelope, however, I found that this size doesn't fit any envelopes that I have.  I had to make one which took a little experimenting.  I used my Cricut and cut two rectangles larger than the card.  Then, I cut tabs and glued it together.  I made sure that the envelope was under the maximum size for one stamp.

Today I'm working on some cards using Ivy Lane paper.  One is for a retirement party.  The other is because I'm planning my first Close to My Heart gathering.  I just started as a consultant and am hoping that I will find someone who wants to schedule a gathering.  The first one will be hosted by me.  We will do some easier cards than this card in a box.  I'll have pictures to show once I've finished.
