December Specials

     Wow!  It's been awhile since I posted.  Things have been busy for me lately.  I've made some cards for a swap and for some birthdays and I've been a little laid up.  About 3 weeks ago I slipped and fell while walking on the sidewalk leading toward the school I was subbing in.  I sprained my ankle and possibly have a small bone fracture plus I twisted my knee and fell on it.  The last two weeks I've worked about 1-1/2 hours a day doing light work.  I now have been given permission to go back to work.  The ankle still has a lot of healing left to do. I will need to sit as much as possible while teaching, but at least I can walk better.

      December is an exciting month at Close to My Heart!  There are several specials this month.  First, is the Stamp of the Month titled Cutie Pie.  I really like this one with the cupcakes.  This is one I can see using it lots for birthday cards or scrapbook pages.  Here are some samples of how to use this stamp set.

I made the card below using the retired Jubilee paper.  The black paper is from the Snowhaven paper pack.

The ShinHan markers are nice for coloring the cupcakes and the banner.  I only had 4 markers when I made this, but the colors look nice.  They are so easy to color with.  I cut out the banner and curved it to fit the card.

      The next special is the Deal of the Decade!

It's been 10 years since CTMH introduced My Acrylix stamps.  To celebrate this, order $50 of merchandise, and you will be able to purchase any C or D sized stamp set for $10.  These sets are usually between $13.95 and $17.95.  You can buy as many as you'd like from the Annual Inspirations for $10 along with your $50 qualifying order.

Seasonal Expressions
     CTMH has introduced Seasonal Expressions, a 38-page seasonal catalog with new stamps, two new paper packs, and many new embellishments.  The Seasonal Expressions is available from December 1 - March 31st.  The items with a small clock icon next to the title are available until March 31st or until supplies sell out.   

There are many new and exciting items in the Seasonal Inspirations.  Here are some samples of things you can make:

Annual Inspirations and Seasonal Expressions:

     Beginning today, when you place an order, CTMH will send you a free Annual Inspirations and a free Seasonal Expressions.  If you already have them, give them to a friend to introduce them to the company.  You could also invite them to our next gathering.  This will take place on your first order between December 2 and January 31.

December Gathering

     We will be having a card making gathering on Thursday, December 11th at 7:00 p.m. at my house.  We will make at least one card and some other project -- maybe a gift card holder if I figure out how to make one.  More details will come in another blog post or on my Facebook page.
