Baseball Card

This past week I made a card with a large baseball on it.  It was my dad's birthday and he is a Seattle Mariner's fan, so I thought it would be good design for him.  I just received Close To My Heart's Artbooking cartridge for my Cricut and saw there was a baseball on it.

I cut the baseball on white daisy cardstock at 3-1/2 inches and used Ruby card stock to cut a solid circle for the baseball's stitching.  All that was needed was to glue both pieces together.  It was simple to make.  I used Jubilee paper to cut the gingham banners and Timberline paper for the background on the card.  I like the look of a fence for the background.  The shape with the words "Happy Happy B-Day" inside it is from a new stamp set available on August 1st.  This set is versatile with other shapes, words, and flowers.  I will be stamping more with this set very soon.  Dad really liked his card!
