The Happy Couple Anniversary Card

     Today I made an anniversary card using The Happy Couple stamp set.  I've wanted this set for awhile and bought it recently.  I have used the word "Congratulations" for some other type of cards, but this was the first time that I made an anniversary or wedding card with the stamps.  My dad was going to buy an anniversary card and I told him that I could make one for him.  Here it is:

     I was inspired by a card I saw at Kathy's Kreative Korner .  I really like the retired For Always paper and this stamp set.  The black and white patterned paper looks so nice with the Lagoon cardstock.  I made some changes to my card by adding some embellishments.  The trim on the left side of the card is from the zip strip on the top of the For Always floral paper.  Here's the inside of the card:

Supplies:

* D1539     The Happy Couple
* X7165B   For Always Paper Pack (retired)
* Z2105      Black Excusive Ink stamp pad
* Z1799      Silver Shimmer Trim
* Z1932      Silver Geometric Washi Tape
* Z1812      Small Sparkles Clear Flourishes
* Z1752      Sparkles - Clear Assortment
* Z1851      Scallop Border Punch

I enjoyed making this card and think I will make it again.  I don't know what I'll do when I use up the For Always paper.

     There are a number of items in the current Idea Book retiring by the end of July.  Many items are already sold out.  You can see what's retiring by checking my website.   You can get there if you click Shop CTMH at the top of the blog or Shop Online on the right side of my blog.  Once you are there, click Shop, then scroll down to retiring items.  You will see what's retiring.  All of the current papers are retiring and we will have 9 new paper packs.  If you see something you want, you can order through my website or contact me.

     I'm starting to get ready for my second Close To My Heart gathering.  We will be making a couple of cards on July 24th, but I need to still plan the cards and make a sample.

Happy crafting!
